Design techniques: I wanted each character to have their own voice in this magical land, so they all have their own typeface. When the reader begins the journey into the Emerald City, the pages turn green to enhance the fantastical journey. The binding is a fun one to look at when opened as it separates away from the book but still able to lay flat and see the exposed binding threads which one is a metallic green.

My personal thoughts on the book:

Every book project is fascinating, and this one took me by surprise as I learned the true story of Dorothy’s adventure through Oz – quite different than what MGM portrayed on the big screen. Plus, no singing in the book, so disappointed. But in all seriousness, I was delighted to design and print this book and bring a bit of imagination to the pages.
