Fine Printing Books
Book Designer Robert Josephy was credited with the idea that "fine printing" is synonymous with books "not printed to be read"*. While I love the concept of having a book in your hands that is not intended to be read, my intention is to always make a book readable.
Some may say these kind of books are meant to be works of art, collector's items, gifts, or sentimental reminders to be displayed and admired for personal reasons. I'm sure I'm not the only one who read their favorite book and cracked the spine, wrote in the margins, or GASP! folded the corner down.

Ever since I heard Peter and the Wolf by Serge Prokofiev (the link will take you to a video performance of the music composition), I was enthralled by how music could represent voices and characters and I've continued this into my book designs where I use typography to represent the personalities of characters.
These books are designed and crafted with attention and care, not only to the chosen book binding, but also complimenting the text subject itself.
